Duro-Last PVC Roofing for Commercial Buildings
McGuire Roofing provides PVC roofing in Tennessee and throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, Kentucky and Georgia for commercial, industrial and multi-family clients. As a certified Duro-Last contractor, we install Duro-Last PVC roofing systems built from membranes that are custom-prefabricated for each roof, which means fewer seams have to be made on the rooftop.
What Is a PVC Roof?
PVC (polyvinyl chloride) is a thermoplastic single-ply membrane used on flat and low-slope roofs. Like other thermoplastic membranes, PVC seams are heat-welded to create a continuous, watertight surface.
How Duro-Last is different: Instead of rolling out standard sheets and welding every seam in the field, Duro-Last measures the roof and fabricates the membrane in its factory to fit the building, including many of the flashings and stacks. The prefabricated panels arrive ready to install, so far fewer seams are welded on the roof.
Johns Manville PVC: We also install Johns Manville PVC roofing systems. JM is our primary commercial manufacturer, and we will recommend the PVC system that best fits your building.
Benefits of Duro-Last PVC Roofing
- Fewer field seams – Custom prefabrication moves much of the seam welding into a controlled factory setting, leaving fewer seams to be made on the roof.
- Prefabricated details – Many curbs, stacks and corners are made to fit, which helps with tricky penetrations.
- Heat-welded seams – Field seams are hot-air welded into a continuous membrane.
- Reflective surface – Light-colored PVC reflects sunlight, helping limit heat gain on the roof.
- Good fit for demanding rooftops – PVC is often chosen for roofs with exhaust, grease or chemical exposure; we’ll confirm suitability for your specific conditions.
- Efficient installation – Prefabricated panels can help reduce time on the roof and disruption to your building.
- Certified installer – We are a certified Duro-Last contractor and Johns Manville certified; ask about the warranty options available for your project.
Buildings PVC Roofing Is a Good Fit For
- Commercial – restaurants, retail, offices, churches, schools and medical facilities
- Industrial – manufacturing plants, warehouses and facilities with rooftop equipment or exhaust
- Multi-family – apartment communities, condominiums and mixed-use buildings
PVC Roof Installation, Replacement & Repair
Installation & replacement: We inspect the roof, take measurements for Duro-Last fabrication, and plan tear-off or an approved recover based on the condition of the existing roof. Prefabricated panels are then installed and welded on site.
Repair: PVC can typically be cleaned and heat-welded for patches, seam repairs and flashing fixes. Call 865-338-7663 any time, day or night, for active leaks.
Maintenance: Regular inspections keep drains, flashings and seams in good shape.
PVC Roofing FAQ
What is the difference between PVC and TPO?
Both are heat-welded thermoplastic single-ply membranes, but they are made from different materials. PVC is often chosen for roofs exposed to grease or chemicals. We will help you compare both for your building.
Why choose Duro-Last for a PVC roof?
Duro-Last custom-prefabricates the membrane to fit your roof, so there are fewer seams to weld in the field. Fewer field seams can mean fewer places for problems to start.
Can a PVC roof be installed over my existing roof?
In some cases. It depends on the condition of the existing roof, trapped moisture, code and manufacturer requirements, which we check during an inspection.
Do you install PVC roofing outside Tennessee?
Yes. We serve commercial clients across Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Kentucky and Georgia.
